  • Heart Disease is the number one killer in America
  • More than 1 in 5 Americans suffer from heart disease
  • More than 2500 people die from heart disease each day

The good news is that heart disease is preventable and curable through a healthy diet, exercise and, if necessary, medical drugs. This website was designed to help people choose foods that are proven to help prevent and reduce your risk for heart disease. The statistics are scary but with the proper tools those statistics can change dramatically. By simply adding whole grains, fiber, fruits, vegetables, lean meats, fish, nuts and beans to your diet, you can quickly reduce your risk for this fatal disease by 20-30% in just weeks or months.

I understand that changing your diet can be difficult so I have created a sample shopping list for you to print and bring with you to the grocery store. These foods have been checked for fat content, sodium and good ingredients. There is also a page of a few recipes gathered from websites, books and some of my personal favorites, that are delicious, fun and nutritious to help you get started to living with a healthy heart.

So get pumped because your heart deserves a break.
